About us
Until recently, the church had to settle for boring websites and ineffective communication tools. ChurchWeb originated as an idea to help the church communicate better and more efficiently on the internet. This was not only for the sake of communication, but to make the church more visible and accessible, and to free up time used on administration to be used for creating value.
From idea to business
While still a student, Christian Steffensen began to create websites for a few local churches. Here it dawned on him that the church did not yet know of the multiple possibilities created by the internet. Other organisations were busy recruiting members and increasing their profile by using the web. The church was being kept out of these new technological developments. Most churches probably had a website by this time, but they were not an integral part of the church and were not being used to engage visitors and create life in the church.
A toolkit for the church
ChurchWeb was started in 2007 and there has proven to already be enormous interest from the churches. We have become a tool for the church that will create relationships and use the internet to support the physical community. The idea behind ChurchWeb is still the same: To make the church visible and accessible.
